Hello, this is Dr. Cha-Young Kang, Director of NOSELAB Clinic.

Today, Iโ€™d like to share a case involving a patient who previously underwent filler and thread lifting procedures, but remained dissatisfied with the nasal contour. She later opted for rhinoplasty to achieve a more refined and glamorous look.

๐Ÿ“ Treatment History

7 years ago: Non-surgical nose filler + thread lifting

๐Ÿ”Ž Initial Assessment

Design Consultation: Right Oblique Side View, Side View, and Nostril View Photos

1. Frontal View

  • Low nasal bridge

  • Small, bulbous nasal tip

  • Wide nasal appearance

  • Dorsal asymmetry due to filler

  • Visually deviated nose

2. Side View

  • Low nasal profile

  • High nasal starting point

  • Uneven, bumpy bridge

  • Protruding upper lip

3. Nostrils View

  • Asymmetry

4. Notable Findings

  • Skin with minimal stretchability

  • Desire for a โ€œglamorousโ€ nose

โœจ Patientโ€™s Goals

  • A more glamorous and defined nasal line

  • Correction of dorsal asymmetry

  • Improve overall nasal alignment

๐Ÿ’‰ Surgical Strategy

1. Removal of Foreign Substances

  • Complete removal of residual filler

  • Thread (silicone or PDO) removal for safety

2. Structural Reconstruction

  • Used donated rib cartilageย (patient preference)

  • Supplemented with patientโ€™s own septal cartilage

  • Built a strong, stable nasal tip support framework

3. Aesthetic Refinement

  • Enhanced nasal definition through controlled height differential between bridge and tip

  • Corrected dorsal asymmetry and visual deviation

  • Adjusted nasolabial angle to soften profile and reduce upper lip projection

โœ… Surgical Outcomes

Before (Left) / Immediately After (Right)

1. Frontal View

  • Improved dorsal symmetry

  • Straightened nasal line

  • Refined tip width

Before (Left) / Immediately After (Right)

2. Side View

This case involved a patient who was dissatisfied with the results of a previous non-surgical nose enhancement using filler and threads. A key challenge was her skin's limited elasticity, which made it difficult to significantly raise the nasal tip height.

By focusing on the contrast between the nasal bridge and tip, we were able to create a visually striking yet natural look. Donated rib cartilage, combined with septal cartilage, provided strong support for the nasal tip. We also addressed the patientโ€™s concerns about asymmetry and deviation for a more balanced, refined result.

This case demonstrates that even with limitations like skin tension, itโ€™s possible to achieve a glamorous transformation through precise surgical planning and the right materials.
