This case involved a patient who was both functionally and aesthetically concerned, but highly sensitive to drastic changes. Her main request was to preserve her existing nasal bridge while only refining the tip and adjacent areas without the use of implants.
By prioritizing subtle, strategic adjustments using only the patientโs own cartilage, we were able to improve both structural and aesthetic issues. Lateral osteotomy was performed to straighten the nose, and the hump was refined just enough to retain the patientโs original character.
Considering the patientโs relatively small nose and longer lower face, we adjusted the nasal length and projection to achieve better facial balance. The nostril asymmetry was also addressed, resulting in improved both appearance and breathing function.
Most importantly, the outcome aligned perfectly with the patientโs desire for natural-looking results. The implant-free approach avoided any artificial appearance, delivering both structural stability and a refined, harmonious look.
This was a meaningful case demonstrating that even minimal, well-targeted corrections can significantly enhance function and appearance without compromising individuality.
Thank you,Dr. Cha-Young Kang, Nose Lab Clinic
