This Closed Rhinoplasty Korea case involves a patient who presented with a bulbous nasal tip and a flat nasal bridge. The overall nose length was short, and the nose appeared slightly curved to the right due to facial asymmetry and nasal imbalance.

Preoperative Consultation and Surgical Plan in Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

To improve facial asymmetry, a lateral osteotomy was planned to shift the nasal structure toward the left side.

The wide dorsum and mild hump were to be refined using osteotomy and a silicone implant.

For the bulbous nasal tip, the plan included reducing the thickness of subcutaneous soft tissue, rearranging and tying the alar cartilage, and elevating the nasal tip for a more three-dimensional contour.

This comprehensive Closed Rhinoplasty Korea approach aimed to harmonize both nasal symmetry and projection.

Postoperative Results and Aesthetic Improvement

In the right-side postoperative photo, the nasion was raised slightly, the hump was removed, and the columella lowered subtly, producing a smooth and natural nasal bridge and tip line.

At a 45-degree view, the tip appears sharper and more defined, with enhanced projection and dimension.

From the front view, the asymmetry has significantly improved, and the width of the bulbous tip has been reduced.

The nostril view shows that although the left nostril remains slightly larger than the right, the difference in size has been visually minimized, creating a more balanced and natural impression.

Balancing Facial Asymmetry and Refining the Nasal Tip

This was a case focusing on correcting a short and bulbous nose while improving facial asymmetry.

Given the patient’s inherent skeletal imbalance, extra attention was placed on realigning the nasal structure to the midline.

The silicone implant was deliberately positioned slightly leftward to match facial proportions, and cartilage fragments and soft tissue were added to correct differences in skin thickness.

Through Closed Rhinoplasty Korea, both functional alignment and aesthetic harmony were achieved without external incision.
