Hello, this is Dr. Cha-Young Kang, Medical Director at Nose Lab Clinic.

Today, I would like to share a meaningful case where we performed closed rhinoplasty in Korea to address a low nasal bridge and facial imbalance. The patient also had concerns about a bulbous nasal tip and a protrusive lip profile, which we corrected through careful surgical planning.

  • January 2020: Primary rhinoplasty without implants, using ear cartilage for nasal tip support.

  • March 2022: Dermal graft to the nasal bridge.

The patient was a woman in her 30s, who found us through Twitter. She had no prior jaw surgery, facial contouring, or filler procedures.

Her primary concerns were:

  • Low nasal bridge

  • Bulbous nasal tip

  • Insufficient glabellar projection

  • Protrusive lips with deep nasolabial folds

  • Overall facial imbalance

Her aesthetic goals were:

  • A natural and refined nasal line

  • A slim, well-supported nasal tip

  • Adequate nasal bridge height

  • Improved facial harmony without artificial results

What she wanted to avoid:

  • Drooping nasal tip

  • An overly sharp or unnatural outcome

💉 Surgical Plan – Closed Rhinoplasty Korea for Low Nasal Bridge Improvement

Autologous Rib Cartilage Reconstruction

We completely removed the dermal graft from her previous surgery and rebuilt the nasal bridge using autologous rib cartilage. This provided long-term stability and a safe nasal height.

Nasal Tip Refinement

The bulbous nasal tip was corrected by reinforcing the tip structure with rib cartilage, creating a slim and natural tip.

Columellar Angle Correction

We adjusted the columellar-labial angle to visually soften the protrusive lip profile and improve the nasolabial fold.

Paranasal Augmentation (Gobok Surgery)

Midface volume was enhanced to further reduce nasolabial folds and improve overall facial depth.

Chin Implant Surgery

We advanced the chin to balance the protrusive lips and achieve a more ideal facial line (E-line).

✅ Surgical Outcomes After Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

Nasal Bridge

The low nasal bridge was effectively elevated, creating a balanced and natural profile.

This case involved a patient who had already undergone two previous rhinoplasty procedures, yet her low nasal bridge and bulbous nasal tip remained unresolved. She also expressed concerns about facial imbalance and protrusive lips.

Through closed rhinoplasty korea, I was able to provide the nasal bridge height that had not been achieved in her previous surgeries. Autologous rib cartilage was used to ensure safe and durable results.

The bulbous nasal tip was carefully refined to meet her expectations. It was especially important to maintain a soft and natural contour without creating an overly sharp appearance, as the patient was concerned about looking unnatural.

Her protrusive lips were addressed by adjusting the nasolabial angle and advancing the chin. This provided not only visual improvement but also created a balanced lower face and a more refined E-line.

The nasolabial folds, which were influenced by her midface volume deficiency and lip profile, were softened significantly through paranasal augmentation and the improved columellar angle.

This case shows that when closed rhinoplasty korea is carefully combined with facial contouring procedures, the result can be a naturally balanced and sophisticated facial profile. The patient was highly satisfied with the transformation.
