1. Preoperative Consultation

This patient came to my clinic to fix the artificial nose shape she received through surgery in another clinic. Overall, it had a long and appearance, and because the nose tip had a see-through cartilage, the nostril asymmetry was aggravated.

2. Surgical plan

From the CT scan findings, septal deviation was diagnosed, and the position of the septum was directly related to the asymmetry of the nostrils, thus we planned to perform a septal deviation correction.

3. After-surgery photos

Photos were taken immediately after the surgery with the consent of the patient. Before the surgery (below), After surgery (above)

4. General Overview

In revision surgeries, it is common to have nostril asymmetry related to septal deviation. Especially in the surgeries that used a septal extension graft, the displacement of the first half of the septal cartilage is closely related to the distortion of the tip of the nose, the tilt of the columella and the nostril asymmetry. This patient also had a displacement of the first half of the septum and, after fixing this part, the nostril asymmetry improved to look more natural.
