Preoperative Analysis for Long Nose and Hump Nose Correction

The patient presented with a long nasal bridge and a prominent hump, which created a downward and heavy facial impression.

A Long Nose Correction combined with Hump Nose Correction was required to balance the facial profile.

These nasal shapes are often caused by structural elongation or dorsal irregularities, and precise correction is essential to achieve aesthetic harmony and natural proportions.

Through careful preoperative design, the ideal nasal length, angle, and bridge height were planned before performing Closed Rhinoplasty.

Surgical Procedure for Long Nose and Hump Nose Correction

The surgery was performed through a Closed Rhinoplasty approach to minimize visible scars. The Hump Nose Correction involved removing the excess bone and cartilage that caused dorsal protrusion, while the Long Nose Correction focused on shortening the nasal length and refining the nasal tip position.

Autologous cartilage was used to reinforce and rebuild the nasal tip framework, ensuring stability and a smooth contour.By combining Long Nose Correction and Hump Nose Correction, the overall nasal line became more refined and balanced with the patient’s facial structure.

According to Dr. Kang of NoseLab, patients with long and hump noses benefit most from a structural approach that addresses both elongation and dorsal projection simultaneously. This case demonstrates how Long Nose Correction through Closed Rhinoplasty can create a natural and stable result without external incision scars.
