Patient’s Goals

This 29-year-old male patient visited Nose Lab Clinic with concerns about nasal congestion and the desire for a more masculine nasal shape. His goals included both functional improvement and aesthetic enhancement for a stronger, more structured look.

Male Rhinoplasty Korea – Pre-surgery analysis of a 29-year-old male patient with a short, wide nose. Photos show frontal, side, and oblique views before closed rhinoplasty to plan nasal tip refinement, bridge augmentation, and nostril correction.

Pre-Surgical Analysis

During the pre-surgery consultation, we observed the following nasal characteristics:

  • Low nasion with a blunt and wide nasal shape

  • Nose that appeared short and small compared to facial proportions

  • Rounded, broad nasal tip and horizontally wide nostrils

  • Protrusive lips and hidden columella from side view

  • Nasolabial angle less than 90°

These features made the nose appear disproportionately short and wide for his face.

Pre-surgery design consultation – nostril, left side, and oblique side views of a short and wide male nose before Male Rhinoplasty Korea with closed rhinoplasty, showing nostril asymmetry, low nasion, and broad nasal tip.

Surgical Plan for Male Rhinoplasty Korea

Nasal Tip Refinement:

  • Elevated the tip to add length and create balance

  • Maintained a natural, non-pointed shape suitable for a masculine look

Columella Adjustment:

  • Lowered the columella to correct the nasolabial angle

  • Enhanced the strong, structured male profile

Bridge Augmentation:

  • Refined the blunt, wide bridge with subtle augmentation

  • Silicone implant restricted to the bridge for a natural yet defined result

Alar and Nostril Adjustment:

  • Repositioned and sutured alar cartilage to narrow nasal base

  • Reduced the appearance of flared nostrils

Functional Improvement:

  • Septoplasty and turbinate reduction using high-frequency laser

  • Addressed septal deviation and hypertrophic rhinitis

Surgical Process

  • Septal cartilage was insufficient for tip support → harvested autologous rib cartilage for stability.

  • This ensured a strong nasal framework while maintaining a natural appearance.

  • The operation lasted slightly longer but allowed for durable, safe results.

  • Straight Contours: Strong, masculine lines preferred over curves

  • Slightly Wider Tip & Bridge: Better suited for male facial harmony

  • Ideal Nasolabial Angle: ~90° enhances masculine definition

  • Minimal Nostril Exposure: Essential for natural male appearance

  • Higher Bridge: Adds structure and a powerful profile
