Preoperative Evaluation and Surgical Plan

The patient visited NoseLab for Closed Rhinoplasty Korea to correct nostril exposure and asymmetry. She had a short, upturned, and slightly curved nose with very thin skin, making reshaping highly challenging.

Because the nasal skin was so delicate and transparent that the underlying cartilage was visible, I carefully considered this during the surgical planning.

To address these limitations, the surgery was planned using self rib cartilage, allowing structural support and natural shaping without implant use. The key goals were to reduce visible nostrils, balance asymmetry, and smooth the nasal bridge while maintaining a soft, natural contour.

Surgical Findings and Immediate Results after Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

During the Closed Rhinoplasty Korea procedure, the excessive nostril exposure seen from the front was successfully corrected, and the nasal asymmetry was significantly improved. The nasal tip, which had been slightly tilted to the right, was properly realigned for better facial balance.

The small dorsal hump on the nasal bridge was smoothed by trimming the nasal bone, and the highest point of the nasal tip was slightly lowered. The columella was adjusted to correct the nasolabial angle to approximately 95 degrees, achieving a balanced and elegant nasal line.

In the 45-degree photo, the small hump was neatly corrected, and the nasal tip achieved a naturally downward contour without stiffness.

Postoperative Symmetry and Nasal Balance after Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

After Closed Rhinoplasty Korea, the tilted columella was corrected, and nostril symmetry became much more even.

The nasal bridge line appears soft and balanced, enhancing harmony across the mid-face.

Even with thin nasal skin, the result shows no visible cartilage outline, achieving both a natural profile and structural stability.

The final outcome presents a balanced, proportionate, and three-dimensional appearance.

Dr. Kang’s Review – Key Points of Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

This was a Closed Rhinoplasty Korea case focused on correcting a short, upturned, and curved nose with thin skin.

Because the skin tension was strong and elasticity was limited, significant repositioning of the nasal tip could have caused cartilage exposure.

Therefore, I minimized tissue tension while providing structural support with self rib cartilage.

Without using implants, the operation successfully improved nostril exposure, nasal deviation, and the smooth connection between the bridge and tip.

Ultimately, this patient achieved stable long-term results — a soft, natural nasal line and improved symmetry, even with delicate skin conditions.
