This Closed Rhinoplasty Korea case involves a patient who visited our clinic to correct a curved and hump nose.
She desired a slightly refined and elegant (fancy) nose, rather than a purely natural one.
Preoperative Consultation and Surgical Design in Closed Rhinoplasty Korea
In the preoperative front view, the nasal bone was deviated to the right side of the facial midline.To correct this, a lateral osteotomy of the nasal bone was planned.From the front, the patient’s nostrils were overly visible, and the left alar cartilage was positioned slightly inward, causing asymmetry.To address this, I planned to reposition the alar cartilage and refine the nostril contour to improve balance and proportion.
In the side view during consultation, a mild hump and slightly drooping nasal tip were noted.I planned to remove the hump and refine the nasolabial angle to create a naturally elevated yet elegant nasal line using self rib cartilage for long-lasting structural support.
Postoperative Results and Nasal Balance Improvement
Immediately after surgery, the nasal tip was elevated naturally, and the nasolabial angle was adjusted to about 95 degrees, producing a refined, balanced profile.
The previously visible nostrils from the front were significantly reduced, and both the width and curvature of the nose were improved.
The nostrils, which had been round and flared, transformed into a more oval and symmetrical shape.
Achieving Natural and Fancy Nose Line through Closed Rhinoplasty Korea
This patient’s nose was not large but required delicate refinement to achieve her desired elegant and sophisticated look.
By combining lateral osteotomy and alar cartilage repositioning, overall nasal asymmetry was corrected.
