Today, I’m sharing a detailed case involving nasal redness correction and the creation of a more sophisticated nasal line through revision rhinoplasty.

1. Surgical History and Key Concerns


Surgical History

  • First surgery: Autologous rib cartilage + silicone implant

  • Second surgery: Donor rib cartilage + silicone implant

  • Persistent nasal redness with risk of chronic inflammation

  • High nasal starting point (nasion)

  • Broad nasal tip

2. Patient’s Goals

  • Reduce nasal redness and lower inflammation risk

  • Adjust starting point of the nasal bridge

  • Narrow the nasal tip for a more delicate contour

  • Improve nasolabial angle for balanced proportions

  • Shorten perceived nasal length

  • Achieve a Westernized yet natural look

3. Surgical Plan and Procedure

  • Rebuilt nasal septum using autologous rib cartilage for durability

  • Corrected nasal base width to slim the nasal tip

  • Sculpted a custom implant for proportional balance


Shape Refinement

  • Adjusted nasolabial angle for harmony

  • Lowered the bridge starting point for a softer, natural profile

  • Reduced overall nasal length for better facial proportion


Aesthetic Enhancement

  • Refined the columella line for sophistication

  • Balanced dorsal contour for a smooth bridge transition

  • Achieved overall facial harmony from multiple angles

This was a challenging case due to cartilage loss from prior surgeries.

By combining nasal redness correction with structural and aesthetic improvements, we were able to restore both function and appearance.

The final outcome meets the patient’s goals for a refined, natural, and lasting result.
