👨‍⚕️ Surgeon’s Commentary on Closed Rhinoplasty Korea

This patient presented with a nose that appeared excessively artificial following a previous augmentation using silicone and donor rib cartilage. The most striking concerns were the chalky, overly rigid dorsum and severely upturned tip, both of which resulted in excessive nostril show and a harsh appearance.

To address these, we began by removing the unnatural implant and reconstructing the nasal framework using the patient’s own rib cartilage. A key component was the septal extension graft, which allowed us to rotate the tip downward and reduce nostril visibility. Alar base repositioning further refined symmetry and narrowed the nasal width.

Through closed rhinoplasty Korea and upturned tip correction, we softened the nasal bridge by lowering the radix and reshaping the dorsum, transforming the previously harsh lines into a smooth, natural profile.

The deviation of the columella and nostril asymmetry were corrected through precise graft placement and structural realignment.

This case exemplifies how even significantly artificial prior results can be reversed through careful planning and natural tissue reconstruction. Most importantly, we were able to deliver on the patient’s request for a nose that felt in harmony with their overall appearance, restoring balance without creating an overly dramatic change.
