Preoperative Design for Deviated and Wide Nose Correction
This patient’s nose appeared deviated and wide, and they had previously undergone a nostril alar reduction surgery at another clinic. The patient visited Noselab Clinic to correct the nostril asymmetry and the bent shape of the nose bridge. They preferred a natural deviated nose correction without a silicone implant. During the design consultation, we decided to slightly elevate the bridge and refine the nasolabial angle for overall balance and harmony.
Surgical Plan Using Self-Rib Cartilage and Osteotomy
To improve the deviated and uneven nasal bridge, a lateral osteotomy was performed. Since the patient also experienced nasal congestion, functional rhinoplasty was conducted simultaneously to enhance breathing.
Instead of using a silicone implant, we used self-rib cartilage to reconstruct the nose bridge and deviated nasal tip, creating a smooth and symmetrical contour while maintaining a natural height.

Postoperative Results and Functional Improvement
This was a deviated nose correction surgery with a focus on restoring nostril symmetry that had been lost after a previous alar reduction. While alar reduction may seem simple, its complications can be complex — such as visible scars or nostril distortion.
Since once reduced, the nostrils cannot be fully restored to their original size, the goal was to reposition the columella and relocate the nasal alar to minimize asymmetry.
The surgery successfully achieved both aesthetic correction of the deviated nose and improved nasal breathing function.
