Pre-Surgical Analysis of Droopy Nose and Hump Correction Rhinoplasty
Hello, this is Dr. Cha-Young Kang, Director of Nose Lab Clinic. Today, I’d like to share the story of a female patient who came to us wanting to correct a prominent nasal hump and a droopy tip, while also addressing nasal obstruction. We performed a tailored droopy nose and hump correction rhinoplasty without implants, using autologous rib cartilage to achieve a natural and elegant result.
Front View Analysis: The nasal tip appeared wide with nostril asymmetry.
Side View Analysis: A visible hump was present, and the drooping tip made the nose appear longer. The nasolabial angle was less than 90°, further contributing to the droopy look.
Surgical Plan for Droopy Nose and Hump Correction Rhinoplasty

Bridge and Tip Reconstruction with Autologous Rib Cartilage – natural shaping without implants.
Hump Removal – smoothing the bridge to correct the hump.
Lateral Osteotomy – narrowing the bridge for refinement.
Septal Extension Graft – lifting the tip to fix the droopy appearance.
Septoplasty – correcting septal deviation to improve breathing.
Turbinate Reduction – radiofrequency laser to improve airflow.
This comprehensive plan allowed us to restore both nasal beauty and function.
Post-Surgical Results of Droopy Nose and Hump Correction Rhinoplasty
In the immediate post-operative photos, the following improvements were noted:
Front View: Refined tip with improved symmetry.
Side View: Smooth bridge after hump removal, with the droopy tip lifted to a balanced angle.
Overall: A natural, feminine nasal contour enhancing facial harmony.
