Preoperative Evaluation for Permanent Filler Removal
The patient presented with a distorted nasal contour and chronic swelling caused by previously injected permanent filler.
Permanent fillers can induce inflammation and fibrosis over time, making removal and reconstruction complex.
The goal of this surgery was to safely remove the filler material and reconstruct the nasal framework for both functional and aesthetic restoration.
Surgical Procedure: Safe Filler Removal and Cartilage Reconstruction
The surgery was performed through a Closed Rhinoplasty approach to minimize external scars. All foreign substances and fibrotic tissues were completely removed, as shown in the extracted specimen images.
After removal, the damaged nasal structure was reconstructed using autologous rib cartilage to restore the dorsal height and nasal tip support.
This Permanent Filler Removal process focused on eliminating inflammation while achieving a smooth and stable nasal line.

Post-surgery Results and Specialist Commentary

Photos were taken immediately after surgery with the patient’s consent.
The nasal shape improved significantly after filler removal, and postoperative swelling was mild.In filler-induced deformities, combining removal with cartilage reconstruction provides long-term stability and natural aesthetics.
