This case presents an upturned and bulbous nose correction through closed rhinoplasty performed using autologous rib cartilage.

The patient had a short, upturned nasal tip, bulbous tip shape, and nostril asymmetry that created an imbalanced facial appearance.

At NoseLab Plastic Surgery, we performed upturned and bulbous nose correction through closed rhinoplasty to lower the upturned tip, refine the bulbous contour, and balance the nostrils — all through an internal approach without external incisions.

Precise Upturned and Bulbous Nose Correction through Closed Rhinoplasty with Rib Cartilage

Using autologous rib cartilage, the nasal framework was reinforced, and the upturned tip was gently lengthened.

This provided improved projection, a natural downward rotation, and refined definition of the bulbous nasal tip.

The upturned and bulbous nose correction through closed rhinoplasty technique allowed for precise control of nasal contour and length.

Balancing Nostril Asymmetry through Upturned and Bulbous Nose Correction

Through the closed rhinoplasty approach, the nasal base and columella were realigned to balance nostril exposure.

After surgery, the nasal line appeared smoother and more symmetrical, and the tip rotation was adjusted for a softer and balanced profile —
