6. Expert Insights


This was a complex Cat Implant Removal case with multiple layers of prior surgeries and unknown foreign substances. The excessive ear cartilage and implant had caused asymmetry and surface bumps. We used dermal grafts to refine skin contour and autologous cartilage to stabilize internal structure.
Many patients are concerned about aesthetic changes after removing a cat implant. However, this case demonstrates that with a precise plan, it is possible to maintain elegance and harmony—even after full implant removal.
