This case highlights a short upturned nose correction performed through closed rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage.

The patient presented with a short, upturned nasal tip, visible nostril asymmetry, and a retracted columella.

At NoseLab Plastic Surgery, the short upturned nose correction was achieved by extending the nasal septum and reconstructing the tip support internally.

This created sufficient nasal length, improved projection, and restored a natural facial balance.

Precise Short Upturned Nose Correction with Autologous Rib Cartilage

Using autologous rib cartilage, we reinforced the nasal framework to achieve durable length and tip refinement.

The rib graft allowed precise control in reshaping the nasal tip, leading to smoother contours and natural definition.

Balancing Nostril Asymmetry through Closed Rhinoplasty

The short upturned nose correction also included balancing the nostril base and extending the columella internally.

This improved nostril symmetry and achieved a more harmonious nasal-labial angle — all performed without any external scars.

After surgery, the patient’s nasal line appeared longer, smoother, and naturally proportional, fully achieved through the closed rhinoplasty technique.
